About
The North Tipp Wheelers Cycling Club was formed in 1987
The start of it all:
Notices were placed in the Nenagh Guardian and the Parish Newsletter calling on all those interested in cycling to attend a meeting at 8pm in the Hibernian Inn, Nenagh on the 3rd. February 1987.
As a result of this meeting the first committee was formed.

The name was continued from the previous club which finished in the mid-seventies.
The colours of the previous club were also adopted which were:
Royal blue with light blue sleeves and a red band.
These were soon changed to yellow and blue and in the early nineties to red and blue.
First membership fee was £2.

May 1993 FBD/Milk Ras Stage End
11/9/94 Treasure Hunt
22/5/95 FBD/Milk Ras passed through town. Members stewarded.
May 1996 FBD/Milk Ras Stage End.
Michael Butler finished 31st. in the Milk Ras.
1/6/96 Michael Butler finished 6th in the Tour of Galway.
3/8/97 Derek Hennessy was 1st. Junior in the Gene Moriarty Memorial race in Listowel.
14/12/97 Michael Gavin created an Honorary Life Member.
11/7/98- Tour de France started in Ireland.
13/7/98
2/4/99 Ras Mumhan in Nenagh. Club assissted with stewarding.
17/5/99 FBD/Milk Ras passed through town. Members stewarded.
Nov. 99 North Tipperary Wheelers named Best Leisure Club in Munster.
22/5/01 Nenagh had a stage start of the FBD/Milk Ras.
20&21/5/02
Nenagh hosted a complete stage-end and start of the FBD/Milk Ras.
